Evangelist Ericka Riggins-Brown is a beacon of hope and transformation in the Christian community. As a visionary, author, speaker, and licensed evangelist, Ericka has devoted her life to uplifting souls and spreading the Gospel. With a profound dedication to youth outreach, she founded the Stop Tripping Crusade 2007, now known as the Merger, which serves as a non-denominational platform for influencing and guiding young individuals. Her commitment to women's empowerment is evident through her second initiative but first love, Sister, I Got Your Back, a ministry that fosters spiritual camaraderie and healing among women. As the founder of SIGYB, her journey began with a modest number of eight women. Over the course of 13 years, this ministry has flourished, now encompassing a vibrant community of over 400 women in several states, a testament to the compelling and nurturing environment she has fostered.
She considers herself a sisterventionist. She extends her reach beyond her immediate community traveling to various states to conduct powerful workshops at churches and schools. From urban elementary schools to Catholic High schools for girls, these sessions are dedicated to enlightening women adolescents and teenagers about the strength and trans-formative power of sisterhood. Evangelist genuine passion for fostering a sense of unity and resilience amongst women is the cornerstone of her life's work.
In recognition of her spiritual leadership and impact, Evangelist Brown was honored with an Honorary Doctorate degree in Ministry from Anointed by God Theological Seminary in March 2014. As the esteemed first lady of Beth-el COGIC in West Hempstead, NY, she serves with grace alongside her husband, whom she affectionately calls her "Blessing"—a testament to God's faithfulness in her life. As an accomplished author, Ericka has penned "The Year of the Sister Challenge—30 Ways in 30 Days to Empower, Encourage and Support Other Women" and is in the process of completing her next work, "A Missionary's Daughter—The Good, The Bad and The Promise." Her literary contributions are an extension of her mission to instill hope and guidance. Ericka's leadership extends into various roles within the Churches of God In Christ, where she serves as coordinator of the young adult and teen initiatives and contributes to the National organization by serving in the financial department. Her journey of faith began at the tender age of seven, but it was not without tribulation. Having endured hardships like teenage pregnancy, homelessness, abuse, and even three failed attempts of suicide, she is a living testament to the redemptive power of God. Known for her candid and impactful delivery, Evangelist Brown shares her narrative to illustrate the reach of God's grace, taking Psalms 119:17 as her life scripture.
